As the world ushers in a new decade, the Thailand Yacht Show has extra reason to celebrate as the 2020 edition – held on 9-12 January at Royal Phuket Marina – marks the fifth anniversary of the country’s premier maritime and luxury lifestyle event.

The Show has always prided itself on showcasing the crème de la crème of the yachting world and this year we will have over 15 national, regional and world yacht premieres on display, including Asian premieres from Custom LineFairline YachtsLagoon CatamaransNEEL TrimaransPrestige YachtsPrincess Yachts and Riviera plus a brand new model from Monte Carlo Yachts. Legendary shipyard Riva Yacht will exhibit for the first time in Thailand. In a first for the show, we will have two world premieres, the Raptor 375 Solarium and Thailand built Stealth 36e Catamaran.


Now in its fifth year, the Thailand Yacht Show has firmly established itself as, not only one of the leading maritime shows in South East Asia, but also as a must-visit event for those who call Phuket home. The Show, with the stunning Royal Phuket Marina as its backdrop, offers both industry professionals and local residents the perfect environment to network or simply mingle with friends and family. In the Marina, the Show will debut its new Floating Bar, the perfect setting for nautical lifestyle seekers to relax with friends – or close a deal – surrounded by some of the most beautiful motor- and sailing-yachts in South East Asia.


As well as the exceptional line-up of yachts and luxury products on display, the Show will also have a range of food and beverage options to keep visitors well-fed and hydrated during the four-day event.

L’Opera, one of the island’s best Italian restaurants, is taking up residence on the Boardwalk, accompanied by Russian Caviar House and Oysters by Castaway Club House Beach Bar for your daily fix of vitamin-sea whilst The Mexican Taco Truck will keep visitors well-fed, while resident Royal Phuket Marina restaurant Speakeasy will be serving their favourite international dishes over the four-day event. The popular Whisgars Lounge returns to the Show and our VIP Lounge, designed by local furniture and interior design experts M2 Plus, offers the ideal respite from the hustle and bustle of the Show.

From fashion shows to caviar tastings, live music to art exhibitions and workshops, the Thailand Yacht Show has always aimed to deliver an experience for visitors that goes beyond just a boat show and, for 2020, we have various free side-events and activities that all the family can enjoy. On Saturday 11th, Town Square will come alive to the sound of music as we introduce the inaugural Children’s Day Music Festival – held on the Official Le Meridien Phuket Stage – an afternoon of classical and contemporary jazz music performed by local students and musicians. During the four-day event, we also have international DJs playing the latest beats, piano performances in the VIP Lounge and live musicians turning the Boardwalk into their evening stage.

If you’re unsure of what to do this Children’s Day, a trip to the Thailand Yacht Show offers a whole range of fun activities that all the family can enjoy, including live animators and entertainers plus mega-sized Transformer robots, providing memorable experiences for children of all ages.


A yacht show wouldn’t be a yacht show without a party or two and we will have a number of exciting opportunities to mingle, network or unwind after the busy festive period. From the Official Welcome Party – complete with LED fire show and the beats of international DJ Fabrizio Capua – to Sunday evening’s closing “bash”. Friday evening will light up the Docks with a number of invitation-only parties with Simpson Marina, Boat Lagoon Yachting and Multihull Solutions, while on the boardwalk Yachting Sourcing will go long into the late night. Saturday night check out the Drake Marine party on Town Square.


The Show’s main draw, of course, is the stunning selection of 50 yachts – of all shapes and sizes – for visitors to admire and even purchase! In the Marina, we have partnered with the Phuket Yacht Club, who will be offering sailing lessons to children of all ages – a great way for your child to find their sea legs! If fashion is more your thing, designers from all over the country will be presenting their latest collections of evening dresses, beachwear, jewellery and accessories in our daily fashion shows.

TYS 2020 New features and Special Activities

The yachting community must have been good last year because the 2020 edition of the Thailand Yacht Show, held at Royal Phuket Marina, will be stock full of new features, special activities and yacht premieres to welcome us into the new year.

We are celebrating our fifth anniversary in style with over 10 national, regional and worldwide premieres already booked – and some more to be confirmed! Excitement is rising here in HQ as we anticipate our biggest on-water display yet – with more yachts and new exhibitors than ever before – plus an enhanced social programme for all the family to enjoy, including art exhibitions, masterclasses, tastings and fashion shows. Town Square will come alive to the sound of music as local bands and students take to the Official Le Meridien Stage for our Children’s Day Music Festival whilst the Boardwalk will once again offer a veritable smorgasbord of culinary delights and imbibing options.

New Exhibitors, New Yachts & New Offers

Several Asia premieres and spectacular superyachts will light up the Thailand Yacht Show 2020. With an impressive fleet of new yachts confirmed, and a specially-designed luxury VIP Lounge already in build, the fifth edition of Thailand’s largest yachting and luxury lifestyle event will be something not to miss!

Always a huge draw at the Show, leading international yacht broker Simpson Marine will showcase five models from some of the yachting world’s leading manufacturers, including the elegant superyacht Sanlorenzo SL104, first time on display, as well as Asia premiere new 2019 Monte Carlo Yachts 70, Lagoon Catamarans trailblazing Lagoon 40 and Asia premiere Lagoon 46, rounding out the largest line up at the Show will be the Aquila Power Catamarans signature Aquila 44 on display for the first time. Simpson Marine Yacht Charter and Yacht Care divisions will also be on hand to discuss yacht holiday optionscharter management programmes and yacht servicing packages. 

Continuing our Italian theme, MGC Marine (Asia) will present the Atlantis 43 and, for the first time in Thailand, the Azimut 66 Flybridge, both perfect examples of Azimut Yachts’ innovative Italian design and technology. Bellissima! For cat lovers, Multihull Solutions will display the highly-anticipated and award-winning MY 40 from Fountaine Pajot and, making its World Premiere at the Thailand Yacht Show, the Stealth 36e Power Catamaran is the latest offering from renowned Phuket yacht builder Asia Catamarans. And, if this still isn’t enough, we’re very excited to welcome the Rebel 47 from the unconventional – but also innovative – Sacs Marine, represented by leading local broker Boat Lagoon Yachting.
