Simpson Marine, Asia’s leading yacht dealer, will have the largest fleet display at the upcoming Thailand Yacht Show (TYS) Pattaya, with some notable premieres. They will also showcase their full suite of yachting services, including new yachts and brokerage yacht sales, yacht care, yacht management, yacht charter and the Simpson Sailing Academy.
Simpson partners with world-renowned yacht brands such as Sanlorenzo, Bluegame, Fairline, Beneteau, Lagoon and Aquila and the fleet of ten yachts at TYS Pattaya includes Beneteaus (F14, F18, F27, OC 40.1 and OC 46.1), a Fairline F33, a Fairline Squadron 68 (an Asia premiere), a Lagoon 46, and AB RIBs F17 and F24.
“As Asia’s leading yacht dealer, we recognise Verventia’s effort in promoting the yachting lifestyle within the region. We have a strong presence in Thailand – especially at Ocean Marina – where we’ve sold several boats that chose to berth there. So it’s a natural choice for us to support the first TYS in Pattaya and we look forward to a strong return for TYS and its shows in both Phuket and the Gulf of Thailand,” said Country Manager, Howard Prime.
Demonstrating the importance of the Bangkok/Pattaya market, Simpson’s Ocean Marina base counts a team of 11 professionals, including the country management team and three sailing instructors, while the sailing academy has a fleet of nine sailing yachts.
On the Thai demand for yachting, Howard noted, “The Thai market has developed in the past two years due to pandemic travel restrictions, causing people to look for alternative pastimes; yachting has become one of them. At the same time, dinghy sailing tuition has become a popular extra-curricular activity for families looking for healthy hobbies for their kids. And, because it’s so easy for Bangkok residents to escape the city to Pattaya, sunset and sunrise charters have also become a popular way to enjoy several hours relaxing on the water.”
